Jake Caufield, CPBD, is a certified professional building designer through the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) and the founder of KOSO. With a background in truss component design, Jake noticed a common industry problem: house plans that looked good on paper but were difficult and expensive to build. He launched KOSO to fix that—creating custom home designs that combine style with structural clarity and practicality. His AIBD certification requires ongoing education, and many municipalities require homeowners to work with accredited professionals like Jake.
